Preservation Zebulon receives no funding from the Town of Zebulon. Members and donors pay for every film, plaque, and interview.
A membership is not a subscription to a magazine. It is the operating budget of a volunteer organization: the camera time for this year's film, the brass for the next plaque, the archival printing for a photograph somebody found in a closet.
Members hear about ticket sales first, which matters for an event that has sold out four years running.

Interview recording, transcription, archival scanning, and the annual documentary film premiered at Zebulation.
Research, survey work, brass plaques for documented buildings, and the awards given each November.
Walking tours, community events like the Time Capsule burial, and printing that puts this history in people's hands.
Most of what we do is done by people with a few free hours: scanning photographs, greeting guests at Zebulation, checking deeds at the courthouse, or driving a camera bag across town. Tell us what you enjoy and we will find the fit.
Gold, Silver, and Corporate Partner sponsorships underwrite Zebulation and the film that premieres there.
We scan family photographs at high resolution and return the originals to you, usually the same week.
Tickets, tours, and the Time Capsule burial are all easier to fill when somebody tells a friend.
